“The trust awards grants to charitable organisations at home and abroad which are working to help disadvantaged people.Applications are received from these organisations and are considered once a year by the trustees. The applications are short-listed and local opinion then sought as to which of the short-list are favoured. Usually four/five grants are awarded.
