“JDF, a charitable foundation, provides practical support for hinterland communities in Guyana. It procures equipment and gives targeted backing for specific projects, primarily in education and medicine. It has an educational role raising awareness in UK of issues affecting indigenous Guyanese communities. Grants are occasionally made to UK volunteers planning to work in these communities.
