“The charity was founded to help with scientific research, particularly in the areas of microbiology and cancer, generally by funding young scientists to continue working in their laboratories when there has been a hiccup in funding from other sources. Research is favoured that addresses fundamental questions about the nature of cells and the regulation of the cell cycle.
